Splinter gets inked

Once again, Dan comes through and delivers an awesome inking job. When I went in to Mirage today to prepare the artwork of the three Turtles to send off to Steve Lavigne to be painted, Dan surprised me by having completed the inking on the Splinter drawing I gave him yesterday. Here he is posing with the finished piece.

I had intended to send Steve only the three Turtle drawings, but given Dan's demon speed, I was able to include the Splinter as well. I'm hoping that Steve will have enough time to get all of them done for the North Carolina show. -- PL

  2. Dan's stash of reference material is sooooo much more awesome than my boring dictionary and Chicago Manual of Style. ^_^

    Splinter looks great.

You can get Dan's shirt here (and for a good deal, too!).

  4. Oh, that is SO wicked cool. And perfect timing for me, too! I've been trying to teach myself how to draw Splinter and how he holds himself is quickly becoming my Achilles' heel.

  5. *envious sighs*

Very beautifully executed. I like the pencil version and the inked version... I'd buy all three (pencil, pen, AND colored) if offered.

  11. So are these definitely going to be offered on the offical site? If not I may have to make the 5+ hour drive down to NC. Because even with the current gas prices these are too awesome to miss out on.

  12. That is just beautiful. This is how I like to see Splinter; just a bit fiercer than who we see in the cartoon and movie versions.
Like Cyn, I'd snap up prints of all three stages if they were offered.
And I agree with that Master of Subtlety, Vaughn Michael....

Can't wait to see the colors!
