Mike Dooney gave me a hard time when he saw me working on this at Mirage today. I think he threw up his hands and yelled something like "Oh my God -- MORE prints??!!"
"Yes," I said, "but they're SMALL prints."
I decided to try the portfolio idea with those prints I made to take to the Heroes con, reformatting them a little and reducing them in size to 8.5 by 11 inches. I think they came out well, so much so that I am a bit further along in being convinced that it might be a good idea to offer them for sale through the Mirage website. I'm not sure what I'll sell them for at the con -- maybe $20, maybe $25.
I only made twenty-five sets today, to kind of test the waters. I was quite pleased that -- after significant trial and error -- I was able to run 9 by 12 inch white envelopes through our color copier without jamming, so I could print the title right on the envelope instead of going through the messy process of spray-mounting a title block on each one. I still don't know exactly what I did to get the copier to accept the envelopes -- there was a lot of menu-surfing on the control panel of the copier, and choosing of this option and that option. But it did work, eventually. Before he left for the day, Dan Berger gave me a couple of helpful hints (he spends a lot of time with this copier) -- a good thing, as otherwise I think I'd still be there. -- PL
