Fun with Dan and Eric (and Raph)

On our last day at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC a couple of weeks ago, I had a bit of a break in traffic at my table, and took the opportunity to do a pencil sketch of Raphael. Dan Berger was sitting next to me, and I asked him if he would be interested in inking it. He agreed, and turned in a sterling result. And, as my usual partner-in-colors, Steve Lavigne, wasn't with us, I asked Eric Talbot if he could lay some of his cool hues on it. And here is the end result. PL

  2. AAHHHH you TEASE!! I love it, I wanna copy!!! *begs* PLEASE!?!?!?!? I'm redoing my computer room with most of it being Raph art, posters, whatever on the wall. This would be brilliant right nest to Kevin's sketch.

You realise I am the most devoted Raph nut around here... :D

  4. I remember seeing you guys work on that at HeroesCon. I remember Dan bringing it over to you and getting you to draw in the other Sai handle. I was thinking that it was going to be submitted into the art auction. I am so glad that you are drawing so much again. I hope that you enjoyed your vacation Pete.

  5. Wow, I really, really, love that. I have always been a huge fan of Eric Talbot's work, and now seeing his colorwork on your drawing is very satisfying somehow. It just looks so cool!

I know that you have usually had the same artists ink and color your work lately, but you might want to think of throwing some other sketches at different guys there at Mirage who don't usually ink/color your work just to see the results. I'd be really interested in seeing that.

  10. Actually, how about a color drawing of Louis being eaten by a shark?

Better yet - being eaten by Armaggon (the mutant shark, not the commenting dude)!

  12. having just acquired the fabulous "1989 Mirage Portfolio" myself, i am in agreement with the others. Maybe Mirage could put out another "portfolio" for the 25th. Everyone's work is so top-notch and frame worthy. i can't wait to get frames for the '89 prints. Pete, the detail in your selected piece is amazing! (you remember much of the piece i'm mentioning?)
