<<Hey Pete -
Greetings from Vancouver!>>
Lloyd,
What the heck -- ??!! Whatcha doing in BC?
<<Just one note on your notes on my notes on your notes:
I think it'd work much better to have SERLING himself come through with the guys (as opposed to having Don build a Serling-like robot). It's just more fun that way. Just when Serling thinks that he's going to finally be rid of the Turtles once and for all... he winds up stuck in 2008 with them! And he can't even LEAVE THE LAIR! If we thought Serling was grouchy in the FF episodes... we ain't seen nothing yet!>>
You know, I agree with you. It would be funnier. And we should try to bring back the Fugitoid somehow so the two of them can interact.

Hello Peter-
I hope you and your family are well.
Lloyd has asked that I forward you some early design work for the new season of TMNT for review and comments. At present I have attached the following:
1. The Turtle Fast Forward model of Leonardo revised to include present day accessories – Leo #1
2. New Leonardo model #2
3. New Leonardo model #3
4. Cyber world Shredder
5. New April and Casey design
6. A new present day Lair w/schematic
Please let us know your thoughts and comments as soon as possible so that we may proceed with revisions.
Thank you-

Thanks for sending this art. I think it all looks good. Although the new lair looks cool, it also looks a little bit "cold" and has a bit of the feel of a "bad guy" lair... perhaps something could be done to warm it up a bit, maybe with some slight color changes.
I do want to make a comment, just for the record, on the "Cyber Shredder" design: I am generally opposed to any and all "reinterpratations" of the Shredder's armor which include upward-pointing blades, especially on the shoulder pieces. However, given the fact that this version is in a sense a "virtual" fantasy version of the Shredder, I am willing to approve this model specifically for the Cyber Shredder alone.

its a shame the fugitoid thing never happened...
ReplyDeletewould have been fun.
and the final cyber shredder design I rather liked... all except for the hands and legs. A bit nit picky, but sometimes they appeared weirdly modeled on some of the C animation team segments.
