Blast from the Past #278: Splinter in fighting pose pin-up

Here's another pin-up drawing from the old days -- 1985, to be precise -- showing Splinter preparing for action. Or maybe he's just doing a kata. In any event, I think I may have inked this one with a marker -- it has that kind of line quality. -- PL

  1. Was this image from a scan or Xerox or something? The line work has that sort of semi-pixelated quality to it. Also I assume if you aren't sure it was done in marker that's probably because this image isn't from an original, right?

  2. Very nice! Splinter never got as much action as he deserved especially in other media!

  3. I agree mikeandraph87 it would have been cool to see splinter take on shredder. Well more so than he did in Turtles 1.

  4. I think that this may have been used as an iron on transfer too. I've got the original drawing from back in the days when we traded art ...yeah I made out on that deal ;)
