Blast from the Past #218: "TMNT Guide to the Universe" cover inks

This art is from the wraparound cover of the Palladium Books-published "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Guide to the Universe", described in a wikipedia.org entry as follows:

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Guide To The Universe is a role-playing game supplement to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Other Strangeness game. It was published by Palladium Books in 1987 and uses the Palladium Megaversal system."

As I recall, I had a lot of fun doing this drawing. I even did the colors on it for the finished published cover. -- PL

  1. I still have my copy of that somewhere. I never did play it but I enjoyed looking at the cover. I also had the Mutants down under which had some of my favorite Jim Lawson illustrations in it.

  2. Found you blog fairly recently, and although I'm not a huge fan of TMNT, I spent many a saturday at the Words & Pictures Museum.
One thing I remember and really wish i had taken pics was when you guys painted the bus in Downtown Northampton. Are there any pics available from that? I sat for a few hours watching..

I'm not sure what event you are referring to, but it's definitely something in which I did not take part. -- PL

  5. I love that book. Still whip it out once in a while. That, and "Transdimensional TMNT."

Would you say the way time travel and such works in the Mirage TMNT is pretty much illustrated in that? The book was quite detailed.
