A nifty nugget of NECA news...

I got an email from Steve Murphy yesterday, with some information which was sent to him from Randy Falk at NECA. Here are the pertinent quotes from Randy, along with an image:

"I just wanted to send over an image of our SDCC exclusive for this summer.
It will be a brand new April O' Neil figure that comes with a Battle Damaged
Mouser and a Regular Mouser with a new head featuring an articulated jaw.

This is the first non Turtle figure in the NECA TMNT collection

This version of April will be available at San Diego Comic Con this July.

We are going to try to make arrangements to offer a small amount of figures online for those who can not attend SDCC."

Pretty cool! I look forward to putting these on my shelf next to the NECA Turtles. -- PL

  1. So... does this mean there will still be a standard April figure that is released for mass market?

Either way, I'm psyched! Gonna nab some o' these on eBay ASAP XD

  4. Thats some serious alliteration you got going on in the post title ;-)

In all seriousness though, it is good to see some forward momentum with the NECA line.

  8. I missed out on the NYCC distribution of the NECA figures last time, so you can be damn assured that I won't be missing out on these come SDCC.

    I'm so stoked!

  9. Nice. I was hoping that subsequent Mousers would have a paint job that more closely resembles metal rather than cement, but still very glad to see April will be joining the guys on my shelf. I was the very first TMNT set sold at SDCC last year, maybe I can pull that off again ;)

  11. Now April is a SDCC exclusive? I hope there is a standard release or that would really suck.

  12. Is that april is an exclusive, what with the one offered by big bad toys?

  14. Cheers, tokka!
Bu the way, did you pre-ordered the ones from BBT?

  15. d´oh! I need to read the posts more carefully.

  16. -->> ..it's ok, Nach.

    I may order a ' CASE ' .

I didn't do that with the Turtles last year ..

but may do it this year.

I'd rather not order it on - line if i don't have to.

I would rather get it through my local comic shop.

I think i did try to get the TMNTs thru' the comic shop, but Diamond wouldn't have it.

You either order the entire case and not the individual figures or none at all.

It's always a hard dichotomy with Diamond.

As many good things as they do.. there is just as many things they do that really bother the hell out of me.

    :(

  18. Ok, tokk.

Just another thing, months ago, i remember reading somewhere that april will come with a mouser featuring an articulated jaw, but they never said it would be an SDCC exclusive so that´s way i was confused about the exclusivity of this figure.
Anyway, with or without articulated jaws, i want those figures ASAP!!!!
