While cleaning up a bit in my workspace at home last night, I came across these two things -- copies of my cover to "Tales of the TMNT" #25 in pencil stage...

My daughter sent me these photos of a TMNT movie display at the Hollywood Wax Museum.







They're cute, but check out the absurdly long chain on Michelangelo's nunchaku! -- PL

Even more art from Anthrocon 2005

These four drawings are the last of the art that I did for the Anthrocon 2005 program book. They wanted a few spot illustrations, so I did one of each turtle. I especially like the pose I chose for Leo. -- PL

More art from Anthrocon 2005

Here are two more pieces I did for the 2005 Anthrocon in Philadelphia. The first was printed on the official t-shirt for the show -- in its final form, it was in color, and printed on a yellow shirt, as I recall.





If I remember correctly, this second one was drawn to be printed as a free 8 1/2 by 11 print which people could pick up and get signed at our table.

Fun with Dan and Eric (and Raph)

On our last day at Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC a couple of weeks ago, I had a bit of a break in traffic at my table, and took the opportunity to do a pencil sketch of Raphael. Dan Berger was sitting next to me, and I asked him if he would be interested in inking it. He agreed, and turned in a sterling result. And, as my usual partner-in-colors, Steve Lavigne, wasn't with us, I asked Eric Talbot if he could lay some of his cool hues on it. And here is the end result. PL

Anthrocon 2005

While going through some stuff on my decktop computer, I came across some art I did for the 2005 Anthrocon convention in Philadelphia. It's possible that this stuff hasn't been widely seen, so I thought I would put it up here.

As "Guest of Honor" for the show that year (Stan Sakai was GoH in 2004, and was also there with us in 2005), I was asked to do a few drawings for various purposes, This first one was to be used as the wraparound cover of the Anthrocon program book. Here's a not-too-great digital photo of my blue-pencil drawing:



And here is my inked version:




Michael Dooney did a beautiful job coloring this art for the final cover, and I have that somewhere... just can't lay my hands on it at the moment. -- PL
