I had asked Stan Sakai if Usagi would be appearing in the newest version of the toon, and he said yes, in a few brief cameos, etc... and the aborted two-parter of Fast Forward with Space Usagi came up, and he had said it was a shame it wasn't made and how good the story seemed and the art as well. I think we had them made specifically to take with us to the first New York Comicon. As for why I did the old style tied belts... I really don't remember.
