I was happy to see it was a big success though.

A bi-annual would be great, there are a lot of artists that I would like to see do doodles.

I checked the bookstore, but didn't have as much money as I'd like to at that time to get them. Maybe they'll be at Shellback? Both portfolios were amazing. Was there anything in particular that inspired the Treeface pieces. I saw a few of your nature photos lately, and wondered if that sparked it.Chris Parlonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12777076661795920240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-225302720400600293.post-90772980058152361242012-11-12T19:48:31.689-08:002012-11-12T19:48:31.689-08:00Chris, I was looking for you in the line of people...Chris, I was looking for you in the line of people waiting for doodles, but now I get why I didn't see you. Sorry about the sell-out -- the museum staff were surprised (and delighted, I think) with the fact that all the doodles were pre-sold before us doodlers even got there.

I am not sure it will be an annual thing, but in my opinion it should be -- maybe even biannual. There are so many wonderful artists who I think would gladly give a few hours of their time to support the museum in this way. I know that if they ask me to come to more of these events, I would be happy to.

By the way, I seem to recall that you asked about the availability of those "Treeface" portfolios I made for the Paint and Pixel Festival last month. I don't know if you checked out the Carle Museum's bookstore while you were there, but they had some of those on sale, as well as my other portfolio, "Strange Life". -- PLPLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14615918982616632405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-225302720400600293.post-23480067326107955262012-11-12T12:35:18.724-08:002012-11-12T12:35:18.724-08:00Katie and I took the trip, but by the time we got ...Katie and I took the trip, but by the time we got there all the doodles were all sold out. Glad we went though,we saw a lot of amazing art. "Sylvester and the magic pebble" was one of my favorite books as a kid.

Will this be an annual thing?Chris Parlonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12777076661795920240noreply@blogger.com
